PlaybackSpeed Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 8, 2026
PlaybackSpeed is a Safari extension that lets you configure media playback speed, auto-skip timestamps, and quick media actions for websites you choose.
Data Collection
PlaybackSpeed does not collect, sell, rent, share, or transmit personal data.
The extension stores your site rules locally in Safari extension storage on your device. These rules can include website hostnames or URL patterns, playback speed values, auto-skip settings, and keyboard shortcut preferences.
Tracking and Analytics
PlaybackSpeed does not track you across apps or websites. It does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Network Access
PlaybackSpeed does not run a backend service and does not send your settings or browsing activity to the developer.
Safari Extension Permissions
PlaybackSpeed needs access to webpages so it can find HTML5 video and audio elements and apply the playback settings you enable for a site. This processing happens locally in Safari.
Changes
This policy may be updated if the app’s functionality changes. Any material change to data handling should be reflected in this policy and in the App Store privacy label before submitting an app update.
